Enjoy the sensation of floating on the Adriatic Sea, combined with Yoga, Meditation and fantastic veggie food. You´ll be guided into yoga flows and poses in asana form, as well pranayama and meditation form. Yoga on a SUP (stand up paddle) brings a whole new element to the yoga practice. Stonehouses and villas in Croatia are beloved retreat places for guests from all around the world. Island of Vis is one of this places, where you can get the experience of the Mediterranean in its whole splendour and natural beauty.
The villa for this retreat is secluded, located about 200 m above the sea, surrounded by cypresses and wonderfully smelling mediterranean herbs. The house consists of three apartments, each with two bedrooms (with double or twin beds). The maximum number of participants is 12 (with additional 4 sleeping-possibilities).
When trying to lead a healthier lifestyle, studies have shown that food is just as important as exercise. This is why in this retreat, a tasty, nutritious, organic meals are prepared with special attention and love, to revitalise the body, balance the mind and support you on your journey. During your stay you can enjoy two meals a day: brunch and dinner, cathered by chef. Ivana Šalov has several yoga teacher trainings like in Ashtanga and Vinyasa Yoga. She has continued practicing with renowned teachers around the globe – Janet Stone, Shiva Rea, Adam Husler, Celeste Pereira and Nina Vukas, to name a few. She has gone on to complete 50 hours Yin Yoga teacher training with Bernie Clark in Vancouver, Canada, Prenatal Teacher Training.and she accomplished her SUP Yoga Teacher Training in California.
For Ivana, movement is an emotion and yoga is an art of living and expressing emotions. Body, movement and breath are her eternal inspirations.
The essence of water is very important in Ivana’s life and in her teaching. Being on the water is a unique way to achieve balance and inner peace, allowing all senses to absorb the beauty of SUP Yoga practice.
Whether a beginner on a SUP or seasoned practitioner, Ivana will teach you the basics, along with water safety while enhancing your proper stance, form and paddle techniques. You will learn to move at a gentle pace as you balance the mind and body through meditation, breathing techniques and asanas (physical posture) in class.
