International Yoga Teacher Training in Croatia

300-hours yoga training for people who want to become yoga teachers, for people who are already yoga teachers and for anybody interested to get an in-depth knowledge in multi-style yoga. You´ll learn from a yogini with over 30 years of international experience and from a team of top yoga and meditation teachers. This YTT consists of online study and two weeks retreat in Croatia. The first week is an intensive week of immersion into yoga teacher training program. The second week is a regular yoga retreat and not obligatory, but it is advisable to stay to process the new (yoga) experiences.

YTT Program:

An excellent and thoughtfully chosen international teacher team – Lea, Kirsten, Viggo, and expert guest teachers – is well established in their interdisciplinary insights, gained through decades of research and teachings in yoga, meditation and body-mind oriented therapies.
The program includes intensive training of 5 modules (week 1 obligatory) and retreat immersion (2 weeks). In addition, training includes online self-study with 7 modules (obligatory) that can be done prior to or post the retreat. Online modules include all the course materials and group and individual follow-up through video conferencing. Online study can be extended as a flexible format in case of travel restrictions by July 2022.

About the Teachers:

Lea Loncar is the lead teacher of the Yoga Teacher Training in Croatia. She has 30 years of experience in teaching yoga – E-RYT-500. Her background is in various yoga styles and traditions (Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Integral, Sivananda and Therapeutic yoga, Tibetan Lu Jong Yoga), which she has studied in India, USA, and Europe with great teachers including Swami Satchidananda, Swami Ramananda, K. Pattabhi Jois and his family, Tulku Lopsang Rimpoche and many others. Lea is deeply inspired by Buddhist Vipassana meditation and is an advocate of the vegan culture. Her work and writings have inspired and motivated hundreds of people to change their lifestyle habits, and improve their health. She is the founder of a Scandinavian yoga centre Zenit Yoga (over 25 years of existence), a place to go for Yoga education in Scandinavia, which created also this international TTC 300 program. Besides yoga, she is currently working on PhD in psychology at NTNU, Norwegian University where she is teaching psychology.

Kirsten Louise is a physiotherapist, yoga teacher, pilates instructor, health educator and writer based in Copenhagen. She holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy (BHSc), a Postgraduate Certificate of Health Science in Western Acupuncture, as well Yoga Nidra meditation Level 1 teacher training with Richard Miller and the iRest Institute. 13 years of practice as physiotherapist/yoga teacher/health consultant were the best teachers about health, disease, pain, diet, behavior, psychology, life, spirituality, human potential, struggle and success.

Viggo Johansen is philosopher, cognitive behavioral therapist and mindfulness instructor. He lived as a Buddhist monk for four years in India and Nepal in the 90-ies and today he looks at these years full of experiences with great gratitude. He holds a master’s degree in Philosophy at the University of Oslo and three years of further education in Cognitive Therapy. He has based his work on integrating the Eastern traditions of wisdom with the latest innovations in brain research and cognitive psychology. He has held courses in mindfulness and mental training throughout Europe since 2006 and wrote several books on mindfulness.
